Plastic Car Bumper Repair

This plastic bumper was split after a collision with a fence post.

Bumpertech technicians use smart car bumper repair techniques to avoid the high costs of replacing complete panels. On this particular job, our technician was able to:

1. Weld the plastic bumper back together
2. Reinforce with a 2 part epoxy resin to keep it structurally strong
3. Once repaired and sanded to a smooth finish, it was undercoated with an acrylic primer, sanded and repeated for a seamless look.
4. The damaged side of the bumper was then repainted to its original colour by computer matching from a code inside the vehicle
5. Finally, the bumper was finished with a HI-UV resistant clear coat.

Repairing Bumper Bars using this process is a time and cost efficient solution rather than replacing and wasting panels with minor damage.
